Eric was born and raised in West Chester, OH, a northern suburb of Cincinnati. His interest in houses began in elementary school and he began drawing floor plans shortly thereafter. He has always been passionate about Architecture and Design, so it was only natural he would end up studying Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate and Mathematics after graduating from Lakota East High School in the class of 2000. Spanning seven years, Eric attended several colleges and universities, such as Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH; Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ; and Miami University in Oxford, OH.
In 2008, Eric accepted a job designing houses for his uncle's building company in Tulsa, OK. In 2009, he formed Zona Designs, LLC. and branched off on his own to design spec and custom homes and related projects for area builders and clients. His most notable projects stem from his extensive work on the Hyde Park at Tulsa Hills development, a neighborhood for today's aged 55 and better population.
Eric strives to design house plans that focus on both quality and livability, while keeping wasted space to a minimum. Eric has the uncanny ability to make a home feel much larger than the square footage would lead you to believe. Because his designs focus on the most efficient use of space, many of Eric's clients have built much smaller homes than they originally set out to build, saving them both time and money.
Eric's house plans have been constructed in many communities across Northeast Oklahoma, though most can be found within thirty miles of Tulsa's city limits. As of April 2022, over 400 of Eric's unique home plans have been built or are currently under construction. Most of his home plans to date, fall within the mid to luxury price range, and between 1,450 and 4,500 square feet, though he always welcomes the challenge to design any size home within a client's budget. Eric's favorite home styles to design are: Modern Farmhouse, Mid-Century Modern, Prairie, Tuscan, and Modern.
Eric's hobbies and interests include: Architecture, Real Estate, Photography, Traveling, Music, Dining out, and Technology.
Eric's motto is to Live Simply.
